A description of Bridge Street in the 1900's

This is a hand-coloured postcard of Bridge Street in St Ives, Cambridgeshire taken around 1912. What is now West End DIY, the 4th building along on the right still has its pitched roof with three dormer windows, today it has a flat roof. The large tree on the left also has gone as have the buildings facing us at the far end of the street.
