The United Reformed Church
St. Ives

As you can see from the picture below the Free Church is located in the centre of St. Ives. The present building was erected in 1865 and was extensively refurbished in 1979.

The Free Church is more than just a place of worship,  It is used as a centre for the community and contains a number of meeting halls and a small chapel for private prayer. The shop, "Just Sharing", sells Fair Trade items from all over the world an example of which is the Sun-dried Banana Chips (the webmaster favourite!) and "Tookey's Coffee Bar" make it a welcome place to pause whilst wandering (being towed by my wife!) around the shops in St. Ives.

Church Mission Statement

The Free Church (United Reformed) St Ives aims to provide for a focus for Christian Worship and Community development within St. Ives.

The Church aims to promote the Christian Gospel by

  • Providing for personal and public worship

  • Enriching the spiritual and cultural life of the community

  • Providing a welcoming environment for all ages

  • Responding to the needs of individuals and groups, especially the most vulnerable in society

  • Promoting issues of global peace and justice, including fair trading.
