St. Ives in Cambridgeshire is a great place to "do business" and like many other market towns is undergoing massive changes as it comes to terms with the new millennium. The early months of 2002 saw the completion of the first phase of the St. Ives Town Centre Development, which brought new pavements, street furniture, road surfaces and lighting to Bridge Street and the Broadway greatly expanding the amount of pedestrian surface in this part of town.

There has been a slight reduction in "on street" parking but this does not limit the ability of shoppers to pick up goods right outside the shops and leave their cars in the three large car parks around the town. Car parking is more than adequate to cope with the huge influx of shopper on Market Days especially on Bank Holiday Mondays.
