The National Women's Register is an international organization of women's discussion groups. Each group aims to provide its members with the opportunity to take part in stimulating discussions on a wide range of topics of a non-domestic nature, both serious and light-hearted. The emphasis is on participation, providing a focus on research on a particular topic to gain new areas of knowledge. Speakers who are experts in their fields are also invited to address groups, thus disseminating information.
The groups provide the opportunity for women to have a better understanding of others' points of view, express their own opinions and to develop friendships in a friendly, informal atmosphere. In this way, women can improve their own self-image and confidence in a non threatening environment
