St. Ives Civic Awards

 

Each year St Ives Town Council may confer awards to community groups or individuals in recognition of their service to the townsfolk and town of St Ives. The current holders of these awards are as follows;

The St Ives Community Challenge Award

The retiring Mayor, Cllr. Brian Luter, presenting the St Ives Community Challenge award to Bridget Smith
for her service to the Town as Chairperson of the St. Ives Civic Society.

 

The Community Challenge Award was introduced by Cllr. Kevin Reynolds in 2004 to be presented annually to an individual who, in the opinion of the serving mayor, has done much for the community.

The Millennium Shield

The retiring Mayor, Cllr. Brian Luter, presenting the St Ives Millennium Shield award to 2331 Squadron of the Air Training Corps for their services to the Town

The Millennium Shield was introduced by Cllr. John Davies to be awarded annually to a local youth group who, in the opinion of the serving mayor, has contributed much to the community
