The 13-acre site with 120 berths was established in 1958 and is thought to be one of the oldest inland marinas in the country. The marina is in an attractive wooded setting alongside open meadows.
The moorings (mainly consisting of generously spaced private jetties) are in keeping with a marina designed to be as natural as possible creating a haven for boats and wildlife. Electricity is available on several moorings. Members of staff live on site providing extra security. Ample car parking ensures a short walk to your boat. Petrol, diesel, water, toilets and showers are all available.
The company originally designed and built quality craft to customer's requirements including river and sea-going cruisers, small yachts and motor sailers, many of which we continue to maintain. The boat building staff are still with us today, undertaking refit/repair work on boats of all types including GRP, wood and steel. We produce high quality paint and varnish finishes and our engineers undertake installation/servicing of diesel and petrol inboard engines, outboard motors and outdrives. We have two large workshops with slipways and a hard standing area.
L. H. Jones also operate a boat sales department and a very useful chandlery store from where you can also obtain Calor Gas along with an impressive selection of spares and accessories.
