A picture of Cromwell Place
Cromwell Place is a relatively new road in the old part of St Ives. It was constructed, as where many of the buildings on each side of the road, after the demolition of the old Slepe Hall in 1848.
The current line of the road runs through what would have been the front garden of the old hall, whose approximate location is outlined by the existing large gardens on the eastern side of the road. If the hall was still there its front door would open out into Cromwell Place, the door however is now in the Rectory in Bluntisham.
