| Around 800 years ago King John granted a Royal Charter entitling the town of St Ives to hold a street fair at Michaelmas each year. The picture above shows the Mayor of St Ives, Kevin Reynolds, reading the ancient charter held by the Town Clerk, George Cooper and accompanied by the Mace Bearer, Mr John Smoothy. 13th October 2003
