The Mayor and Councillors of St Ives process from the Town Hall in Market Hill through the streets of St Ives as has occasioned annually for the last 800 years since the town was granted a Royal Charter by King John to hold a street fair at Michaelmas.
The Mayor, Councillor Kevin Reynolds is escorted by the Mace Bearer, Mr John Smoothy, and followed by the Town Clerk, Mr George Cooper and the Mayors Chaplin, Farther Paul Maddison and then the company of the Town Councillors
