The Raptor Foundation is fast becoming one of St Ives's major tourist attractions. From humble "backyard" beginnings in Ramsey, a short distance away, it is now located in what is becoming a purpose built facility on the outskirts of St Ives.
When you first arrive please do not be put off by building works currently being conducted around the main entrance because once inside you'll find the works complete and it will not interfere with your enjoyment.
There is a large car park or alternatively you may park on the grass if the weather is good so you could bring a picnic but you'll find the Silent Wings Tea Rooms inside. If you have access problems do not worry as once inside you'll find the whole site wheel-chair friendly.
Well basically an amalgamation of a hospital, orphanage and a hotel but I suppose it's also a nursery for Raptors from all over the World..
