Compliment

What a great website! I've had a wonderful time reading about St Ives. I lived there 1982-1987. My son was born in the (then) new hospital at Huntingdon. We attended St Ives Parish Church, the vicar was Rev Moore. I hold fond memories of my time in St Ives and the lovely people that I met. I shall be visiting Bank Holiday weekend to reminisce further. I have found this site extremely useful in finding accommodation, what's on and new developments that I may not know about. Kind regards and WELL DONE on this website! - Linda Grierson.

It was wonderful to have viewed your website recently! My husband and I were stationed at RAF Alconbury in the 1990's and I have such fond memories of St. Ives where, we lived whilst in England. Thank you for the beautiful pictures I view in the gallery of St. Ives pictures, they brought back such wonderful memories. Sincerely, Carmen M. Silguero

Observation

Could not find a laundrette on your web site.
Regards,
David

Webmaster: I replied that although we don't do laundry on the website there was a laundrette in the small shopping parade at King's Hedges, off Ramsey Road.

Help Needed

I see a Peter Anderson was Mayor in 1971.  I am a descendant of St Ives Andersons...i.e. a series of John Andersons - of whom my Grandmother was Gertrude Georgina Anderson b.1885.

I've visited a couple of times, but had no luck in tracking anyone who may be a connection.  I'd be so grateful if this this message could be diverted to perhaps someone who might have some archives (other than the usual Census, Reg certificates etc) which would further my search. I'm particularly concerned to make connections with my Grandmother's siblings'  (John, Elizabeth Louise) descendants.
